After building our mini walls, engineers used a wrecking ball to destroy their wall! This was to test whose was the strongest and sturdiest. As engineers we also discuss why a wall might have failed and what we would do differently next time to improve our designs.

.Building Walls
Students have been engineering walls using various earth materials. The goal was to observe and test properties of mortar to build a strong sturdy wall. We will using a "wrecking ball" tomorrow to see whose wall was the strongest!!

Use Book Sale!
The RES Used book sale was a HUGE success! Not only did all RES kids leave with many wonderful "new" books but we raised $351 for kids and families in the Richmond Community. 2nd grades had the task of counting out all those quarters! Amazing work all!

Shelburne Farms
What an amazing experience! Children got to make candles, card wool, complete farm chores, lug hay, feed chickens and collect eggs, and make homemade bread and butter! WOW Thanks to all the volunteers!
