Settler's Farm Field Trip

Yesterday students were amazing farmers on a beautiful fall day!   Thank you to all our parent volunteers!   We couldn't have done it without you!

We helped Farmer Mark and the Settler's Farm harvest pounds and pounds of carrots!

We did a relay race!  Students sorted food pictures based on whether is was made from a plant or made from an animal.  Some foods are made with both plants and animals!

Students brought farm journals and had some time to write in a new environment.  We let the farm inspire our ideas.  Some wrote poems or fantasy stories about farm animals, while others wrote non-fiction books about plants.
