We just started reading non-fiction in Reader's Workshop.  PebbleGo is a great resource to support students learning and it can count as your reading homework too! Please check your child's homeschool folder for login information coming home today!

Shelburne Farms

What an amazing experience!  Children got to make candles, card wool, complete farm chores, lug hay, feed chickens and collect eggs, and make homemade bread and butter! WOW  Thanks to all the volunteers!

Audubon Field Trip

What a beautiful fall day to spend outside! We sorted leaves by color and species, hunted for animal homes, made our own birds nests, and learned about Vermont animals that migrate or hibernate. Thanks to all the parent volunteers who helped out!

Last week in Writing!

2nd graders have been working on expanding the middle of our stories by "unfreezing characters".  Our stories come alive when characters move and talk!  

We also brainstormed other more exciting words for "said" and "went".

Looking for Parent Volunteers!

We will be starting the tie dye t-shirt process this week, students will be banding their shirts in Art classes, then we will need parent and staff volunteers to take the shirts home to dye in washing machines. Please check out the link if you are interested in helping out!  Thanks!
